My Most Memorable Feedback
Have you ever lay on your bed and suddenly thinking what your boss said 3 years ago, or what your crush said about you look on the first date.
Bit overthinking, right?
Let me share my story, so when I was in Vocational Highschool, my teacher said my English is good, but need to improve the pronunciation and the grammar. Its a good feedback, clear, and explains the reasons. Its also motivational starts.
Or maybe you facing guru killer or maybe Asian typical mom who always blame if you fail, say you’re dumb, and other hateful speech.
Really, feedback is important, but is it the feedback we need? Like the first one, that is one of my favorite feedback, since that I often use English and try be better on listening, speaking, and reading. Its really change my life, now because that feedback, I understand most of article in English, it really helped me as a programmer because you know when facing errors and problems we use stackoverflow and youtube channel as reference. With that feedback, my job became easier. I know some of you maybe thinking, its a professional skill you need to learn English, or you can learn it later, the feedback didn’t impact that much.
So, take this analogy, if your girlfriend say you’re look handsome with the moustache, are you gonna shave it? Of course not, right? It build confidence.
So, for those all who give or receive feedback, listen all their word carefully maybe they gave you hint for your better change in the future, and give feedback not based on their mistakes. Maybe they were wrong but blaming it doesn’t make any change.
